Windy city of CHICAGO

Trains, busses and cabs at rescue. From the very small town of FDL, the STRONG winds took us to the city of SHE’CAGO, and must say SHE was beautiful. A long weekend in CHICAGO.
Evening 2nd of APR-
First in the list was to visit the SEAR’S TOWERS, that elegant she stood as the queen of the city, friend of the sky, was there her ministers; other tall companions to the either sides in a line and all at her command – was indeed a pleasure for the impatient eyes.

3rd of APR – weather was nice as it drizzled in the morning and warmer thereafter.
We headed to the SHEDD AQUARIUM that housed different different types of species in water. Dolphins, sharks, tiny whales were among the main attractions. Also were tiny other fishes, frogs, under water plants, jelly like organisms, seals, corals and many more… oh that was like too fishy. It was a tragedy when heard tickets to the dolphin show were sold out, was to satisfy with 4D movie ‘Planet Earth’.
Out from aquarium, we took a leap to the FIELD MUSEUM. Now, it was to talk about the art and history. Not being sure on our willingness to appreciate art and time not being merciful to us, we took a turn to a curiously exciting place – the ADLER’S PLANETARIUM. Now that was a fun place. Apollo 11, 13 and other interesting NASA stories. Then a lot about the earth, the moon, the sun and the other stars. ‘Cosmic collisions’ being the subject in the theater. A meteor did enter my atmosphere of mind, collided with my ideas – ‘these stars, lightyears away from us speaks our future’ --> holy crap.
It was getting dark and we caught the next bus to navy pier.
NAVY PIER resembled an exhibition ground in INDIA. But those giant wheels were indeed GAINTTTT. Grabbing some refreshments we took a cruise over the MICHIGAN LAKE and was ok ok fun. Sadly there weren’t many people onboard – could be coz it was EASTER the next day.
By time we were quite accustomed with popping in and out the busses and our ONE DAY PASS did a marvelous job. Now was time to experience the METRA. Cutting thru the famous LOOP (rail around the downtown) we headed towards the DEVON STREET. There were lined up one next to another DESI Restaurants. Hungry stomachs couldn’t resist anymore formalities and we jumped on to our favorite business of gormandizing food.
4th of APR -
Bye bye CHICAGO… caught bus to FDL via Milwaukee and here I’m back home !!
CHICAGO was BIG TIME GREAT FUN !!
